Investigation launched after car windows smashed near Southport Pier

Vandals have smashed in the windows of two cars parked underneath Southport Pier.

Shattered glass was strewn across the pavement near to the children’s play area after two cars had their passenger windows smashed in by an unknown assailant.

The damage is expected to cost thousands of pounds to repair and despite both owners reporting the crime to the police, it’s not thought that there were any witnesses.
