Count Binface has promised that the hand dryer in the gents’ toilet at the Great Himalayas restaurant in Southport will be “moved to a more sensible position” if he is elected MP for Clacton.
The pledge was a surprise inclusion in the Clacton 2026 Manifesto published by the Leader of the Recyclons from Sigma IX on Monday 27 July.
Quite how the intergalactic space warrior came to encounter the facilities at the Nepalese restaurant on Lord Street is not yet clear.
Great Himalayas Nepalese Restaurant & Bar, on Lord Street, has been recognised as one of the best Nepalese restaurants in the UK at the National Curry Awards.
It is not the first bathroom appliance to attract the Count’s attention. He has previously campaigned for the hand dryer in the gents at the Crown & Treaty pub in Uxbridge to be moved to a more convenient location.
Among of flurry of other policy promises, Count Binface has pledged a windfall tax on “cosy crime novels” written by celebrities and re-committed to his plan to build “at least one affordable council house”.
34 candidates have been announced in the Clacton by-election, triggered following the resignation of Nigel Farage.
The previous record for candidates, set at the 2008 Haltemprice and Howden by-election, was 26.
