Merseytravel approves its contribution to Ainsdale Station re-build Merseytravel’s contribution to the re-build of Ainsdale Station has been confirmed this week, with work on the project due to start later in the year. Merseytravel directors approved the allocation of £800,000 to the £2.5m scheme for the Merseyrail station which is also being funded through the Government’s National Stations Improvement Programme (NSIP), and Network Rail.
