A resident this morning was travelling to work along coastal road when a large dog (thought to be a Beagle) ran out in front of his car traveling southbound, Thursday 30 June 2016.

The motorist told OTSNews.co.uk: “A dog has been killed this morning when it ran in front and collided  with my car along the coastal road.

“The car has been low loaded and taken away as result of the collision. I could not locate the owner at the time. I have since reported the incident to both Police and Sefton Council.

“My condolences to who ever the owner is”.
