Dukes Ward Councillors, Sir Ron Watson and Mike Prendergast, are seeking to address the problems of overhanging trees which in some areas are really obstructing pedestrians to an unacceptable degree.
Sir Ron said “We have identified various sites within our area and am pleased to say that trimming has taken place in Oxford Road with two areas that were particularly bad and we hope there will now be a schedule to keep the growth under control”
Cllr Mike Prendergast said “Sir Ron and I have identified several sites but if local residents have concerns within their area we would be grateful if they would let us know so that we could see what could be done to help with what is – quite literally – a growing problem”
