Southport Palliative Care Nurse smashes Marathon for Queenscourt Hospice
Angela McKenna, 52,completed Sundays London Marathon in 4:24:17 and has raised £1,441.50 to date for Queenscourt Hospice.
Angela said: “I have had a great day – marathon completed. I completed it in 4-hrs 24-minutes 17-seconds.
“The Marathon was great fun, with family and the great support – Thanks to everyone that has supported me”
“I work as a Community Palliative Care Nurse Specialist in the area, I’m supported by Queenscourt and I see at 1st hand the invaluable support patients and their families receive.
“This was not my first marathon but it’s been 6yrs since I last ran the London Marathon, I only got offered the place at the end of January. I promised to give it my all and I did!”
