Southport moved off the foot of the National League table after securing their first win of the season against Altrincham.
Gary Jones put Southport in front from the penalty spot after Mike Phenix was fouled in the box.
Liam Nolan then doubled the advantage with a finish from Paul Rutherford’s cross.
Connor McCarthy wrapped up the victory five minutes from time, following up a parried shot.
