Ram raiders have driven a Range Rover into a Lord Street jewellers, stolen a number of jewels and made off on motorbikes after setting their car alight.
Fire crews and emergency services are still on scene at the site of the attack and a number of staff members are being treated for shock.
It’s not yet known how much was taken.
One witness who worked at the nearby Costa Coffee told OTS News “Four lads in a land rover drove it straight into the shop, stole a load of jewellery, set the car on fire and legged it.”
“They has motorbikes waiting. It was planned to a tee. They had been gone for about twenty minutes before the police showed up”
