    By Community Contributor7th March 2021

Tomorrow (Monday 8th March) Cassie James will be talking to the fantastic Priya Burton on her Mighty Radio mid-morning show between 10am and midday, all about International Women’s Day.

Priya is a psychotherapist working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression and is an extremely inspirational figure.

Priya has produced a number of enlightening and inspirational podcasts focusing on her work and has spearheaded many campaigns raising awareness around issues such as prioritising vaccinations for teachers and counselling for those providing education.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.

Marked annually on March 8th, International Women’s Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year to:

    • celebrate women’s achievements
    • raise awareness about women’s equality
    • lobby for accelerated gender parity
    • fundraise for female-focused charities

The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is ‘Choose To Challenge‘. A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change. So let’s all #ChooseToChallenge.

Tune in 10am to hear the interview on Mighty Radio 107.9FM also online, via the app, Alexa and other platforms.
