IN PICTURES | Lord Street In Bloom Volunteers make Bandstand garden perfect

The Lord Street In Bloom Volunteers, Southport today finished off planting up the Bandstand garden (Wednesday 12 July 2017).

Speaking on behalf of the wonderful volunteers, Pauline Morris said: “What a difference we have made to this empty space”.

“Thanks to Parks & Gardens for our delivery of soil yesterday”.


Volunteers needed to Keep Lord Street in Bloom

We are looking for volunteers to join our small friendly group.

We meet up once a week for a few hours, garden tasks are varied.  

All age groups welcome.

Southport Rotary Club donate £250 to Lord Street in Bloom

Lord Street in Bloom

Earlier this week Southport Rotary Club donated a cheque to the group which spends hours each week cleaning up the town centre gardens of Lord Street, weeding, hoeing and picking up litter.

Pauline Marie Morris said: “A huge thanks goes to Southport Rotary Club for sponsoring us again this year.”

“£250 will make such a difference to the gardens thanks from all the volunteers.”
