The family of John Sinclair, one of Southport’s most popular businessmen, have revealed he will be laid to rest next Friday.
John, famous for creating the Peaky Blinders Bar and Hotel chain in the town, will be honoured at a special service at Lord Street West Church on Friday January 15th.
Following the service he will then be cremated at West Lancashire Crematorium.
Since his passing there has been an outpouring of tributes from all corners of the resort, such was the popularity of John Sinclair.
His family have thanked all those who have paid tribute to him.
John, who is credited as being one of the leading lights behind the regeneration of ahah is now known as Lord Street’s northern quarter, was well known throughout the resort as being a happy, kind and caring man.
Alongside his wife and business partner Melanie Sinclair, John oversaw the creation of the popular Peaky Blinder’s bar and hotel on Lord Street and latterly opening an equally successful bar in Churchtown.
