Flooded resort park ‘urgently needs fixing’

A flooded park is in urgent need of attention by the council after a number of people slipped and fell on its dangerous sodden surfaces.

Botanic Gardens in Churchtown has been turned into a makeshift swamp after days of constant rainfall with footpaths submerged and grassy areas turned into a muddy marshland.

A number of people including elderly residents have slipped and fallen in the dangerous conditions.

Mary Evans told OTS News: “I walk my dog here and it’s a death trap. I had to stop going this week because it’s just too dangerous you will eitherbe soaked or slip and fall on the mud.

“You can’t get around it without falling over. I wish the council would come and fix it urgently. It’s a death trap.”
