Southport RFC recently embarked on a fundraiser for Southport and Ormskirk Hospital Charity in memory of their President Graham Ellis who recently passed away.
The goal was to cover the distance to virtually reach the South Pole, a target which has been well and truly smashed within the first week!
With over £18,000 raised so far, organisers have upped the ante to include a lap of the Earth (40,000km) before beginning the virtual trek back from the South Pole to Waterloo Road!
Everyone at the club is getting involved and playing their part in putting in the distance to reach this incredible goal, from under 6’s to over 75’s.
