Alleged drunk driver flees from Southport car crash in early hours of the morning

In the early hours of Sunday morning (1st November 2015) at around 12-45am a drunk driver collided with another driver on Southport Road. 

After the incident the drunken driver tried to run away but was caught with the help of helicopters and police dogs moments later and was taken into police custody.

The wheel of the innocent Peugeot car was completely ripped off and left a write off (below).

The injured were treated at the scene by paramedics.
