Dozens of police scramble to Pontins after what one resident described as a riot erupting.

Police have been called to Pontins Ainsdale after staff frantically called 999 fearing a riot was set to break out.

Officers from Merseyside Police and the dog unit from Lancashire Constabulary were called to the Station Road based Holiday camp around 10pm after reports that a large cohort of guests and people who were visiting the bar simply for the evening had become involved in a disagreement.

The argument quickly got out of hand and it grew into a huge fight, with staff panicking that it may spill out into the nearby chalets.

Officers quickly attended the scene and and is believed multiple arrests were made.
