Beef Up with Top Meat Cuts From An Online Butcher

    By David Rubie-Todd24th November 2023

Watching your diet is an absolute necessity if you want to live a healthier life, and that’s a well-known fact, but many people think this means giving up on all the food you love, and this just isn’t true. You can hit your body goals while buying quality meats from the online butchers London.

Let’s look at some high-protein meat your local butcher has on hand:

    Turkey or Chicken Breast

Turkey and chicken breast are the best-known options on the market for high-protein meals. For each 100 grams, you can get over 25 grams of protein. You can marinate your chicken depending on your mood and enjoy it with potatoes, salad, or other veggies, and this is up to your tastes.

    Mahi Mahi Fish

Although not one of the best-known fishes out there, mahi mahi has a great texture and is known to be low in fat. Just 100 grams of this has about 16 grams of protein and most people enjoy grilling it with a side of vegetables.

    Pork Tenderloins

You don’t need to avoid red meat if you’re watching your body. Pork tenderloins are very lean meat and have about 13 grams of protein for every 100 grams of pork. We love the idea of searing these in a pan and completing it by roasting it in the oven, just remember to use less oil.

    Lean Ground Turkey

It can be a hard-to-find item but lean ground turkey (99% fat-free) is a fantastic choice with almost 21 grams of protein for each 100 grams of meat.  It’s important to keep in mind that ground turkey can cook very dry, so think about how to get some liquid back in without overdoing it with the oil.

    Fresh Healthy Tuna

Tuna is also a great source of protein with 150 grams yielding about 20 grams of protein. The best part is that tuna has the bonus of having much less fat than other protein sources. Just remember, it’s always a better choice to go for fresh tuna rather than canned tuna, which has preservatives thrown in.

    Roast Beef

If you suffer from low iron and want amino acids, roast beef is a great choice.  It has 18 grams of protein for every 100 grams of roast beef and we love it for a make-ahead lunch or a protein-rich Sunday roast.
