Southport secured their first league win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Darlington at the Pure Stadium. Chris Doyle, Jordan Archer and Marcus Carver were all on the scoresheet as Liam Watson’s side claimed all three points. The first two goals came through Doug Tharme long throws, which caused havoc for the visitors throughout the evening. Southport FC have confirmed the signings of three players on youth loans from Accrington Stanley. Rhys Fenlon, Harry Perritt and Jack Bolton join the Port from the Sky Bet League One side until 6 March, subject to FA clearance. Attacking midfielder Fenlon started out at Accrington before playing in the youth teams at Manchester City and Burnley. He signed professional terms with Stanley this summer, featuring in the first-team squad on a number of occasions.
