Jordan Archer returns to Southport FC ahead of York clash

Southport FC have confirmed the return of striker Jordan Archer for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old, who was previously on loan at the club in 2019, joins on a deal until May 2022 and bolster Liam Watson’s attacking options.

During his last stint at the Pure Stadium, Archer scored nine times in 21 games, including excellent strikes against Hereford and from distance against Bradford (Park Avenue).

A strong striker with an eye for goal, he joins from Boston United having made the switch to join the Pilgims in the summer.

Starting his career with Chasetown, Archer progressed up the football pyramid to play in the EFL for Bury and Port Vale. He has also spent time with Maidenhead United, Chester and Stockport County.
