Tree Parking at Hillside Train Station

Sefton Council continue to ignore Hillside Road residents in their bid to stop people parking their cars in the woodland area opposite the houses.

Resident Sarah said:

“Neighbors have been contacting Sefton council over this issue since 2005. Up to twenty cars can be parked on the grass which is now ruined.

Commuters traveling to Liverpool turn up at 6.30am and leave at 7pm. Often cars block the pathway on pavement closest to the houses, meaning parents with prams have to walk on the road.

I’ve witnessed drivers mounting the footpath at the bottom of the stairs narrowly missing school children. Cars speed up and down with restricted visibility.

Councillor Richard Hands has been of no use, he now avoids my house at election time because he has never been able to help.

Myself and neighbors even offered to pay for double yellow lines or to restrict the house of parking but this was dismissed.

It’s only a matter time before someone is run down”.
