Sleeping rough in freezing temperatures on Lord Street

Another day another rough sleeper. This poor man was asleep on a Lord street near to Papa Johns pizza outlet this morning, Saturday 11 February 2017.

We are now well and truly into the winter months, and temperatures across the country have plummeted.

While for many this means a strong coffee and cosy socks, for people who are homeless it can be a life and death situation.

Almost 3,000 people sleep rough in the UK on any given night. With temperatures already falling below zero some nights, these people risk freezing to death in the streets.

But there are ways you can help – here’s what you need to do.
