Debenhams offer 17 temporary Christmas jobs
Debenhams Southport has announced that it is on the search for 17 new members of staff to give local customers the best service possible over the Christmas period, the busiest time of the year.
With a wide range of flexible positions available on the sales floor, health and beauty and even behind the scenes in stock handling, and an emphasis on friendly and helpful service, Debenhams will ensure additional colleagues are in store, whenever Southport customers need them.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with the store from mid-November until the beginning of January, covering the ‘Christmas Spectacular’, Black Friday, Boxing Day and the start of the January sales.
Tracey Ashcroft, store manager at Debenhams Southport, said: “Our colleagues here in Southport are part of what makes Debenhams a great place to shop for our customers. The lead up to Christmas is our busiest time and we are looking for people with passion and drive to deliver the great service that our customers deserve over this festive period.
“Previous experience is not essential and with plenty of different roles on offer, we would love to hear from candidates who want to join a great team, have a strong ‘can-do’ approach and are keen to learn the ropes.
“Many colleagues who join us over this period stay on as permanent members of the team, so it’s a good opportunity for candidates to apply at this crucial time in the recruitment calendar.”
This year, Debenhams will be looking to recruit around 8,000 members of festive staff and is on the lookout for energetic people with a talent for providing fabulous customer service.
