Businesses owners have been asking Sefton Council to install CCTV cameras for months now but their wishes have fallen on deaf ears. A shop owner on Hoghton Street said: “Rotting food, house hold rubbish and needles are thrown out from the people who live in the flats above. Another local resident said: “I have contacted the council on three separate occasions to report this mess and still nothing has been done.
