Yobs ruin Southport war memorial fountain
Vile troublemakers have yet again waged war on Southport town centre. After nights of constant window smashing and vandalism, the latest victim of an over the top mischief campaign is the memorial fountain on St George’s Place, Lord Street.
A trolley and tons of rubbish have been tipped into the memorial fountain, which was created nearly a hundred years ago.
It’s the latest act after windows at the Atkinson and Kings Gardens shelters were smashed. Yobs have also thrown bricks at shop windows and set fireworks off in bins on Chapel Street.
