UPDATE: Woman in Hospital after falling off beer garden bench
Emergency services were called to the Marine Lake Café, Southport this evening to treat a woman who had sustained injuries after falling off a bench, Sunday 3 July 2016.
The injured woman’s daughter has since contacted OTSNews.co.uk and said:
“I can assure you that my mum had not been drinking when she fell at the Marine lake cafe, she had just arrived to meet myself and my husband when she fell.
“She has a broken hip which she has had surgery on today. She is nearly 70.
“My mother waited over 2 hours for an ambulance to arrive although she was in severe pain and bleeding heavily from her elbow.”
