Dead man’s family slams Ambulance Service for his death

A floral tribute which passive aggressively attacks the North West Ambulance Service has been left on the marine lake.

The tribute, addressed to a man known only as David, was left at the rear of the Ramada Hotel on the railings of the marine lake this week.

Although appearing at first to be a touching tribute, the note accompanying the floral display draws attention to the fact that David’s family blame the North West Ambulance service for his death.

He died of a heart attack on April 13 last year.

His family say that they waited over 25 minutes for an ambulance that day.

The note reads: “This is in memory of David who passed away on April 13, 2015.

“He died following a cardiac arrest while waiting 27 minutes for an ambulance from the North West Ambulance Service.

“We would like to thank the compassionate people who stopped at the scene and did their best to save him.

“They did their best – it’s my only comfort”
