A Southport man has been stabbed in the chest following an altercation near the town centre.
Paramedics rushed to save a man after he was stabbed in the early hours of Saturday, 6 August, at a property in Alexandra Road.
Police say they were also called around 4:25am to the building following reports of an assault.
The male victim, who has not been identified, was rushed by paramedics to Aintree University Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Police have arrested a 33-year-old woman, understood to be from the Southport area, on suspicion of Section 18 wounding.
The suspect has since been bailed on conditions.
