What’s your poison?

Southport’s Ale Preservation Society is running a series of free lectures on beer related subjects.

The first lecture is next Monday at 7:30pm at The Grasshopper in Sandon Road.

Mr. Jonathan Cliff will give a presentation on The Victorian Beer Purity laws entitled “What’s your Poisin”.

This will cover the various scandals beer was found to contain arsenic and moves to stop the adulteration of beer.

This will be followed by a Question & Answer session which is an opportity for lively debate.

Mr. Jason McCormack will give an update on the campaign to “Save the Blundell Arms” and details will also be available about various outings that the group is organizing.

The talk is open to all and no booking is necessary.
