Emergency service workers from Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance service have attended an incident at Tesco Express on Liverpool Road in Birkdale this evening (13 August).
Social media reports from members of the public suggest a vehicle had accelerated through the exterior wall of the store, trapping a man between a refrigeration unit and shelving.
OTS News has been unable to independently verify these reports.
Among a heavy emergency service presence, OTS News reporters were able to see a black SUV next to a damaged exterior wall.
Police and paramedics remain in attendance at the time of publication.
Liverpool Road remains open to passing traffic but access to the car park at Tesco Express is restricted.
