5th September 2015

Walkers will be able to raise money for the charity of their choice at event organised by the Southport Meols and Southport Sunrise Rotary Clubs.

It’s not too late to join us on Sunday, September 6 from 9am at the Gladstone Mess, Altcar Training Camp for the start of the second Rotary Coast Walk. Pets are welcome too!

This year the route takes you along the shore and then onto the Sefton Coastal Path before finishing opposite Ainsdale station, a distance of some 10 miles.

The cost of registration is £10 for adults, £5 for children from five to 16 years and £20 for a family of up to two adults and three children with free travel across the Merseyrail network on the day.

This year organisers also have a photograph competition for all registered walkers, so submit your pictures via the Rotary Coast Walk Facebook page for the chance to win a prize.

All monies raised by the walkers go to their favoured charity or good cause – the weather forecast is for light cloud so a good day to ‘stroll with a goal’!

The event is supported by Southport networking group Lemony Lime and by Merseyrail.

There will be free Merseyrail all-day travel across the Merseyrail network for every walker who has pre-registered.
