A Sefton resident received a call from a person who said he was from the Telephone Preference Service, to inform the recipient that his TPS account needed to be reactivated and asked for his Direct Debit details so the account could be verified.
The caller was not from TPS he was just after the Direct Debit details from an unsuspecting person who may have been unaware that this information is not required.
