UPDATE: Two arrested for attempted murder after attack at Southport home

UPDATE

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, following a frenzied attack at a house in Southport.

The arrests come after police were called to an address on Cemetery Road at 6.30am yesterday morning (Sunday, October 1).

A 34 year old man was taken to hospital, his condition has been described as serious but stable.

Following the incident, a 24 year-old man and a 21 year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The two remain in custody where they will be questioned by detectives today (Monday 2 October 2017).
