UPDATE | Hotel staff panic as fire crews rush to danger pipe

Fire crews have rushed to the Scarisbrick Hotel after a danger pipe came loose.

OTS reported yesterday how residents in Scarisbrick Avenue fear for their lives after the drainpipe came loose from the side of the hotel in high winds.

Now hotel staff have been pressured into calling Fire crews to look at the pipe to see how dangerous it actually is.

Firefighters have asked Sunday shoppers to avoid the area while they inspect the pipe which could take some time.

Yesterday one resident said he fears walking past the hotel every day in case it falls on him.


Hotel Danger pipe terrifies at risk residents

Residents in Scarisbrick Avenue day they are risking their life day after day after the Scarisbrick Hotel continues to fall apart.

After strong winds last night piping is now dangling by a thread and could land on someone’s head any moment.

Staff have been told but show no concern.

Scarisbrick Avenue resident said:

“I live in Scarisbrick Avenue and you should look at the side of Scarisbrick Avenue. The state of the hotel is bad and I risk my life each day.”

“The pipe is swinging so badly that if it falls down it will kill someone.”
