Two car collision on Sussex Road

The emergency services were called to Sussex road in Southport this afternoon following a report of a two car collision (Thursday 11 May 2017).

A witness told our reporter that a Ford Fiesta collided with a Volvo near to the junction of Hall Street shortly after 3.30pm.

Paramedics treated the injured occupants at the scene, fortunately the injuries are not thought to be serious.

Both vehicles were later recovered from the highway.
