Train guard attacked in vicious Hillside Station brawl

An appeal has been launched after a rail worker was viciously attacked on a train at Hillside Station.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Thursday, July 27 when a member of rail staff on board the 1.36pm train from Hunts Cross to Southport asked a group of teenage boys to leave the service at Hillside as they were behaving in a dis- orderly manner.

One of the members of the group then assaulted the man.

He sustained facial injuries in the assault and lost a tooth. The offender was a white teenage boy, aged approximately 14- 16 years old, who was wearing black clothing.
