OTS News is pleased to announce that Sean Towndrow of Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club, picked up his first Tour Win today on the EuroPro Tour.
Sean finished 14 under par after the three round Penta Hotels Championship played at Caversham Heath Golf Club, Reading. This score forced a play off. Sean held his nerve, scoring a birdie to win the title.
Sean, 28 from Southport, battled cancer in his early twenties. He is now two years out of treatment and this year his strength and confidence is growing. He has been scoring well and is now competing for a prestigious Challenge Tour Card which would secure top flight golf all next season.
Sean told OTS News, “It’s brilliant to finally win a Tour event, so many have supported me over the years. It’s been a rough ride. I know OTS have covered have covered my career to date and promoted me, thank you! I’ll continue to work on my game and hope the season brings more success.”
