Formby residents are overjoyed at the news their local tip will reopen next week.
The Recycling Centres at Formby and Sefton Meadows will reopen next week with a new booking system in place.
Anyone looking to use the two recycling centres will need to book an appointment, which can be made online or by telephone.
Residents will need to supply their name, address and vehicle registration either through www.merseyside wda. gov.uk or by calling 0151 236 0305.
The booking system will be live from Friday, June 19 to enable bookings to be made for week commencing Monday, June 22. Available slots will be released on a rolling weekly basis.
The recycling centres will have a limited number of slots for each day. This allows for the site to be serviced and also ensures that staff can monitor residents and implement social distancing rules.
