Police are advising golfers to security mark their clubs and keep valuable items out of view.
Merseyside Police in Southport tweeted: “Two thefts of golf clubs from cars occurred over the weekend on Park Road West (outside the Municipal). Golfers advised to spread word among other club members”.
*The Sefton Council managed golf course does not provide secure off street parking of CCTV.
In November, thieves targeted the pro golf shop at Hesketh Golf Club, stealing expensive waterproof clothing.
