The old bill come to the rescue of ducklings in danger

By On The Spot News2nd July 2020

If there wasn’t photo evidence, you would think this story completely quackers.

But in a break from their crime fighting day jobs, Police community Support Officers in Churchtown this evening came to the rescue of a mother duck and her brood of cute ducklings who were trying to cross a busy main road.

The kind hearted animal loving PCSOs from Merseyside Police saw the Mallard and her ducklings trying to cross Preston New Road last night.

Officers made sure traffic temporarily stopped and ensured the brood made their way across the road safely without incident.
