The Southport & West Lancashire branch of Camra presented the annual West Lancashire, Pub of the Year award to The Cricketers, Chapel Road, Ormskirk on Wednesday 10th June at 8-30pm.
There was also an open Camra branch meeting on the night (8pm) especially targeting prospective new members from the Ormskirk and West Lancs area who may wish to join the campaign.
Dave Speak the manager of The Cricketers has arranged a special bar and celebratory beer brewed by Old School brewery which will be sold for only £2 per pint and anyone joining Camra on the night will receive a free pint.Various tasty bar snacks and live entertainment will also be on offer in this country pub in the heart of town.Joining CAMRA is not expensive-from as little as £24 a year,less than a pint a month.If you are over 60 or under 26,it’s even cheaper-from just £16-50.
