Southport will be alive with the sounds of hundreds of musicians from the UK and Europe when the 15th annual Southport Jazz Festival is held in venues across the town over the weekend of 8 to 10 May.

Jazz lovers can look forward to three days of fantastic live entertainment in over 20 different venues, including hotels, bars, restaurants and shopping arcades. The Atkinson, Ramada Plaza, and Bold Hotel will once again host a variety of acts in the centre of town, alongside plenty of fringe activity with differing styles of Jazz to suit all tastes. Outdoor music can be enjoyed in Kings Gardens, where community ensembles Ormskirk Ukelele Club and Sefton Youth Jazz Orchestra will be playing over the weekend.

As well as festival favourites such as Perfectly Frank, guitarist/vocalist Vernon Fuller and saxophonist Mike Smith with his Angry Men band, Southport will welcome guitarist Hugo Corbin from Paris with his band and trumpeter Lukas Oravec from Slovakia who will be touring the UK with his band.

Many of the gigs are free of charge and a full list of events can be found at
