A suspected drunk driver has smashed into a parked van, practically writing it off on Lytham Road.
The incident, which happened less than an hour ago, took place when a Kia Sorrento crashed and severely damaged a parked transit van before eventually coming to a halt when it then bumped into a BMW.
Recovery crews have been called to the scene near to The junction of Marshside Road.
A witness said the female Kia driver had been drinking and had confessed at the scene that she had consumed three glasses of wine.
She had reportedly been trying to drive to a nearby newsagents to buy cigarettes.
She has since refused a breath test
