Suspected arson at Southport Pleasureland (otsnews.tv)

Merseyside Fire and Rescue were called to Pleasureland following a 999 call at around 8.30pm this evening, Saturday 9 April 2016.

Fire fighters arrived to find that a cabin within the grounds had been set on fire. Plumes of thick black smoke was billowing high into the air, which could be seen from miles around.

Two appliances attended the scene and could be seen using breathing apparatus whilst they were on the scene.

It is thought that the fire was started deliberately, but no arrests made.
