SOUTHPORT’S INSTANTA RAISES £1000 FOR CHARITY AT COMPANY FUNDRAISER

Southport-based Instanta – leading commercial water boiler providers – together with sister company Zip Water UK – manufacturers of advanced drinking water appliances – has raised more than £1000 for charity at a joint Christmas fundraiser held this month.

The teams from Instanta and Zip, which has two office bases in London and Norfolk, came together to host a raffle during the companies’ annual seasonal celebrations.

Prizes were kindly donated by staff members, as well as company suppliers and agencies, while the three office bases each nominated a charity for a share of the proceeds.

The team at Instanta opted for Queenscourt Hospice. A third of the funds raised have been donated to the local charity, which provides specialist end of life care to patients from Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.

The remaining money has been gifted to Cancer Research UK, chosen by Zip’s London team, and The Royal British Legion; a charity chosen by Zip’s Norfolk team, which provides lifelong support for the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, Reservists, veterans, and their families.

Instanta managing director Tracey Bamber says: “Christmas is the season of giving and this is exactly what the teams across Zip and Instanta have done this year. With their generosity, it’s fantastic to have been able to raise more than £1000 for three worthwhile charities, each of which do vital work in their respective fields.”

The Christmas raffle follows additional fundraising work from Zip Water UK this year, with the company’s marketing director Russell Owens having recently taken part in the London to Brighton Mountain Bike Ride to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Instanta’s office is located on Canning Road in Southport and employs 39 people from the local Merseyside area.
