Southport’s Farmhouse Kitchen wins national titles at British Pie Awards

A Southport pie shop has been named the best small pie producer in the United Kingdom at the 2026 British Pie Awards.

The Farmhouse Kitchen and The Grazing Lounge, run by Rob Marshall and his mum Terri, picked up the Small Producer Champion title at the annual ceremony in Melton Mowbray on Friday, beating producers from across the country.

The award was not the only prize the Marshalls brought back to Southport. Terri’s “Lord Bear’s Pudding Pie,” entered under The Grazing Lounge on Bold Street, was named Dessert Pie Champion — the best dessert pie in the UK. Her “Lady Grazer” entry also received a highly commended in the Steak & Wine category.

The Small Producer Champion title recognises the overall quality and creativity of a producer’s full range rather than any single pie. It places the Southport business at the top of its class nationally.

Rob and Terri entered a record 14 pies across ten categories this year, their biggest ever entry at the competition.

Rob Marshall told OTS News: “We are ecstatic. We genuinely cannot believe it. We are a little pie shop and a little restaurant in a little town in the North West, but we have come out with some fantastic accolades.

“To be named the best small producer in the UK is beyond anything we could have imagined. We are pie inventors who think outside of the box and inside of the pie, and to have that recognised on a national stage means the world to us.”

The results build on a strong 2025 showing, when the Marshalls won two class titles, two golds, two silvers and two bronzes from 11 entries.
