Southport Theatre collapses as Coronavirus impact laid bare

15th May 2020

Bosses at the parent company Bliss, who also run the Bliss Hotel, have filed to liquidate Southport Theatre and Convention centre as a business entity.

According to bounce back emails creditors are receiving from the theatre, directors at ‘Bliss Space’ have been left with no option but to liquidate the theatre business blaming ‘devestating trading conditions’ arising from the Coronavirus pandemic.

No refunds will be issued for any cancelled events leaving many who had bought tickets for shows later on in the year fully out of pocket.

Bliss bosses say they hope to get the hotel reopened in the coming months.
