    Police flood prominent promenade hotel after major incident declared

    Police and forensic investigators have been called to a prominent town centre hotel following a serious incident, Sunday 12 January 2020.

    Unconfirmed reports coming from the Albert and Victoria Hotel on the promenade this morning say a number of police units responded to the hotel including five police cars and crime scene investigator units following reports of a serious incident at the building.

    A witness at the scene told our reporter “The hotel remains closed and nobody is allowed to enter while the investigation is carried out.”

    While detectives say it is early stages, a full statement is expected from Merseyside Police is expected in due course.
