Southport terminate contracts of Phenix and Corbett

Southport have terminated the contracts of forward Mike Phenix and defender Zac Corbett with immediate effect.

Former FC United defender Corbett signed for the club back in May on a free transfer, while ex-Salford City man Phenix joined in June. The Vanarama National League North strugglers said this in a statement:

‘The club has co-operated fully with the relevant authorities regarding separate yet equally serious issues that involve the two players and having a zero tolerance policy towards such issues, there was no other option than to part company.
