Southport Oddfellows Society seek new faces

MEMBERS of The Oddfellows Society, who aim to promote friendship in Southport and Ormskirk, are urging potential new faces to join them for their summer schedule.

More than nine million people of all ages in the UK say they are lonely either often or always, according to research by The Co-Op and the Red Cross.

The Oddfel- lows aim to prevent this by encouraging people to meet their members and find out what they can offer.

Judith Catton social events organiser for the Oddfellows said:

“We’re helping people to forge new friendships. We provide the perfect opportunity for people to make new friendships in a really easy, relaxed way.

We want to make sure that people are resisting the urge to stay in and instead come join us.”
