Southport golfers to complete 72 Holes ‘in one day’ for Macmillan Cancer Support

72 holes (4 rounds) of golf in just 1 day for Macmillan Cancer Support because cancer has affected us all….

The Southport Old Links golfers – David Lewis, David Higgingbotham, Gary Rosenthal, Chris Reid, Paul Lang, Josh Lang Brad iddon and Chris Wilson are completing 72 holes of golf in just 1 day. That’s 4 complete rounds!

The Southport Old Links golfers will tee it up at 6am on Monday 20th June 2016.

The golfers taking up the challenge estimate this will take between 15-16 hours with every shot counting.

David Higginbotham has said: “Thank you for all the donations so far no matter how small or large this is a fantastic charity that helped me through cancer personally and it’s great to raise money playing the game we love with the a great bunch of lads”

Dave Lewis added: “One final plea to anyone who hasn’t donated to ask if you could spare just a couple of pound for such a great cause.

“We would all be so grateful for any donation no matter how big or small to help us reach our target of £1000.

“You are also welcome to come support us on the course on the day too.”
