Southport & District Amateur Football League raise £1000 for local charities
The Southport & District Amateur Football League’s 50th-anniversary dinner in June raised £900 for 2 local charities.
The League Committee enhanced the amount to £1000 so that Queenscourt Hospice and the Southport Lifeboats received £500 each.
The gifts were in memory of 2 of Committee members, Derrick Ramsden and Alan Cropper, who previously had nominated their chosen charities.
